One of the greatest challenges of our time, accompanying the rapid development of technology, is the swift consumption of visual content on social media channels. As individuals strive to carve out a space in this realm of imagery, they become detached from their own reality and create virtual personas in pursuit of a simulated happiness. By creating these personas, they further immerse themselves in a solitary and melancholic reality.

 

The artworks featured in the project comprise hybrid portraits obtained from five different individuals, printed on obsolete smartphones using the early printing technique of Wet Plate Collodion.
