Migration
Kaleköy, formerly known as Kastro, has been a settlement since ancient times. The village, situated on a hill, has been declared an urban conservation area. There are no longer any Greeks living in the village, which was once inhabited by them. After the complete evacuation of the village, families who migrated from Eastern Anatolia due to reasons such as terrorism and blood feuds approximately 30-40 years ago, as well as recent urban settlers, now reside there.
